Description

The future of youthful skin

Rejuvapen™ is a micro-needling treatment that stimulates the production of collegen in the skin. This medical-grade treatment will not only improve skin appearance, but can also be used to treat hyperpigmentation , stretch marks, acne scars and fine lines and wrinkles.

There are many wonderful benefits that can result from this treatment. Because micro-needling enhances the production of collagen, it can reverse the signs of sun damage, improve the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks and hyperpigmentation. Fine lines and wrinkles can be reduced and an overall healthier appearance of the skin will occur.

Who is Micro Needling Good For?

Wondering if the treatment is right for you? Here’s a list of the different reasons people look into micro needling therapy:

  • Lift and tighten your skin
  • Minimize skin discoloration
  • Reduce the appearance of acne or other eligible scars
  • Minimize fine lines and wrinkles
  • Minimize pore size
  • Improve the appearance of stretch marks.

How Does Micro Needling Work?

One of the most common questions that clients have is how a little pen has such a profound impact on wrinkles, scars and stretch marks. The concept is actually simple. A practitioner uses a micro needling tool, such as the Rejuvapen, to create microscopic pricks on the problematic area. The tiny needles on the pen make invisible perforations in the epidermis and the top layer of the dermis. Your body registers that it’s been injured and starts to heal itself. Collagen and elastin are rushed to the area, where they then rejuvenate your skin.

After the procedure, your skin will likely feel warm and tight, and it may appear as though you have a moderate sunburn. These side effects usually subside within a matter of hours, and most people see their skin return to normal in 24 hours. Your practitioner may be able to recommend a serum or other skin treatment to minimize any discomfort after your appointment.

Should I Use RejuvaPen?

RejuvaPen is most commonly used in our practice to treat acne scarring, but it can be used for many different types of scarring on other parts of the body. For example, stretch marks, which are a type of scar, can be treated with RejuvaPen. We’ve also begun using RejuvaPen for melasma, which can’t be treated with lasers.

It’s important to realize that these scars are permanent and won’t completely disappear. However, we can definitely use RejuvaPen to improve their appearance

How Long Is Each Treatment?

Each treatment lasts about 20-30 minutes. We prescribe a topical numbing medicine for the patient to apply before the appointment. Then, when they get to the office, they’re already comfortable. As the aesthetician works on their skin, they can add numbing medicine if needed.

One of the great things about Rejuvapen is the antioxidants and growth factors we apply. Remember, the treatment uses small needles to puncture the skin. Since the needles make the skin more permeable, the aesthetician works these antioxidants and growth factors into the top layers of skin.

As you prepare for your treatment, avoid using aspirin or other blood thinners. Because the Rejuvapen is poking holes, the skin may ooze or bleed.

IntelliFlash®, cross-polarized and UV lighting are used to record and measure surface and subsurface skin conditions. UV photography provides the most complete data set available for sun damage assessment and analysis, including UV fluorescence imaging to reveal porphyrins.

Canfield’s RBX® Technology separates the unique color signatures of Red and Brown skin components for unequaled visualization of conditions such as spider veins, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and acne.
