Description

Morpheus8 is a microneedling device that utilizes radiofrequency energy to remodel and contour the face and body via subdermal adipose remodeling. This fractional treatment penetrates deep into the skin and fat for a smoother and sleeker appearance. Morpheus8 can be combined with PRP for optimal results!

What is MORPHEUS8 Skin Tightening ?

Morpheus8 Skin Tightening is defined as a sub-dermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that utilizes the combination of fine needles with radio-frequency technology to remodel the building blocks of the skin and beyond. I use Morpheus8 to strategically target the skin and sub-dermal layer of the skin to stimulate collagen production while accomplishing skin tightening and tactical volumetric reduction by melting fat. The Morpheus8 micropins penetrate 4mm deep into the skin which allows true contouring to occur by melting fat with skin tightening. There is little to no damage to the dermis with almost no patient downtime. Most patients experience mild redness and swelling for only a few hours after treatment.

CANDIDATES FOR MORPHEUS8 SKIN TIGHTENING

Morpheus8 Skin Tightening can be used on any areas of the skin that can benefit from skin and rejuvenation. Notably, areas include all areas of the face and body that exhibits wrinkles, discoloration, or acne. The most commonly treated areas include face, neck, and abdomen. Additionally, the Morpheus8 has colorblind technology and can be used on all skin types.

Baywatch Babe’s Morpheus8 Journey on CA Live

Donna D’Errico, star of the television hit series, Baywatch, recently turned to my practice to improve her skin tone and texture. Although she looks great and takes care of her skin and body, she was seeking ways to maintain and improve her youthful and vibrant look. I suggested Morpheus8 as the best option available to achieve these goals. She was gracious enough to allow the world to share her experience through NBC’s California Live.

THE MORPHEUS8 PROCEDURE

When performing Morpheus8 Skin Tightening, I typically numb the skin with a topical anesthetic prior to the treatment. Next the Morpheus8 handpiece stamps the areas of concern. Typical treatment times are under a half hour. Next, the treated skin is cleansed and coated with a thin layer of antibiotic ointment followed by a proprietary skin rejuvenation cocktail. Additionally, Morpheus8 can be combined with Accutite or Facetite for optimal results.

HOW MANY MORPHEUS TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

I tell patients they can expect to have anywhere from 1-5 treatment sessions depending on the condition of the skin and the results desired. The best results are achieved after 3 treatments, and this is not a marketing gimmick, but rather a consequence of the ‘ fractional ‘ nature of the treatment. Fractional treatments typically effect 20 % of the surface area of the skin, so if we want to approach 100 % of the skin surface ( and undersurface ) being treated wholly, we’re looking at 20 % x 5 treatments. I normally spread my Morpheus8 Skin Tightening treatments 4-6 week apart.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF FRACTIONATED ENERGY?

Fractionated RF energy utilized in Morpheus8 is a scientifically proven method to reduce wrinkles. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro-pins to resurface and restore the skin, providing exceptional results with almost no patient downtime. Additionally, the treatment can be applied to depths up to 4 mm, with thermal effects extending up to 5 mm, hence strategic fat reduction can be achieved as well. This is typically done at the nasolabial folds, the under chin fat, and jowls.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Visible results can be seen after a few days, although the most noticeable results appear 3 weeks following the treatment. Results will continue to improve up to 4 months after the procedure – and this is merely a factor of healing, and notably collagen remodeling, which takes time.

MORPHEUS8 TREATMENT AND POST CARE

The Morpheus8 treatment is performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. It has minimal pain, swelling and redness associated with it. Procedure times typically require 1 hour for completion. Following the treatment, mild swelling and redness can be expected for a few days. Most noticeable swelling tends to persist in areas where skin is thinner, such as around the eyes. After the procedure, patients are encouraged to avoid direct sun exposure for a few weeks following treatment in order to avoid hyperpigmentation. Patients should use a broad spectrum sunscreen and gentle moisturizer everyday. Make up can be applied 1-2 days after treatment.
